Eight tire-slashings were reported on the east side of campus last week, and two other vehicles had windows broken, MSU Police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor saidThe slashings, which happened between Aug. 23-24, involved one marked MSU vehicle and a variety of other vehicles.All four tires were slashed on an MSU vehicle parked in the Clinical Center parking lot.The other vehicles had between one and four tires slashed in Lot 91, south of Fee Hall.Some drivers hadn't discovered the slashings as of Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said, but the officers left cards on their windows.Police have no suspects in the incidences. No other tires were slashed over the weekend, she said.Additionally, a university employee reported a smashed window on her car on the parking ramp near the Administration Building, she said. A gym bag and garment bag worth $50 each were stolen, but she found both bags near the trash.A minivan in Cherry Lane Apartments had its passenger window broken with nothing reported missing.· MSU students in Abbot and Emmons halls reported their bikes stolen Saturday night, McGlothian-Taylor said.All three students had cable locks on their bikes.An Abbot Hall male said his bike was stored on the racks between Mason and Abbot halls. The bike was valued at $160.Two Emmons Hall roommates said their bikes were stolen from the rack at the front entrance of Emmons about two hours later. Both were valued at $135.Shannon Houghton
