A 52-year-old male university employee reported to police someone had attempted to break into his personal locker between 11 p.m. on Thursday and 6:30 p.m. on Friday in the visitor's locker room at Munn Ice Arena, MSU police Sgt. Randy Holton said."An unknown instrument was used to cut the lock on the person's locker," Holton said.The lock, valued at $1, was damaged but nothing was taken from the locker, Holton added. Police have no suspects. A laptop valued at $2,300 and software totaling to about $2,700 was stolen between 4 p.m. on July 22 and 9 a.m. on July 23, Holton said.The complainant, a 42-year-old female university employee, reported the breaking and entering theft on Friday, Holton said.She told police she left the office locked and when she returned it was gone. There was no sign of a forced entry, leading police to believe the suspect might have had key access to the office in Jenison Field House - where the personal equipment was stored, Holton said.Jonathan Malavolti
