A 34-year-old female university employee reported a purse stolen from her vehicle between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 28 at Ramp 2.MSU police Lt. Scott Beckner said the woman reported the purse to be old and empty, but police list its value at $100. The driver's side rear window had been smashed with a rock to get it, Beckner said. Police have no suspects.• A 16-year-old boy who was attending an MSU soccer camp reported his CD/DVD player stolen between 6 p.m. on July 28 and noon on July 29 from a room in North Wonders Hall, MSU police Sgt. Paul Kuchek said.With accessories that included a battery, DVD, CD's and a case, the total value of loss was estimated at $400, Kuchek said.Police have no suspects in the un-forced breaking and entering.• A 19-year-old MSU female student and her 22-year-old boyfriend, a Kalamazoo resident with no university affiliation, were cited and released for trespassing at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Olds Hall, Kuchek said.A janitorial staff member called police when he spotted the pair climb up the buildings' fire escape and onto the roof, Kuchek said.There was no damage or anything missing from the building, according to Kuchek. Police do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor.
