If finals are bringing you down next week and the regular release of stress by way of munching out or watching movies is boring you, then check out some live local theater to revamp and revitalize your senses.
The Peppermint Creek Theatre Company will put on their last show of the 2003-04 season, "The Laramie Project," starting at 8 p.m. on May 6 in the Plant and Soil Sciences Building in the MSU Gardens Conservatory.
The play will focus on the murder of 21-year-old gay student Matthew Shepard. The production, which is structured like a documentary, features dialogue from over 400 hours of interviews with townspeople from Laramie, Wyo.
Tickets to the performance are $8 at the door. "The Laramie Project" will run from May 6 through May 15.

BoarsHead Theatre will be presenting a comedy that every mother and soccer-playing child will be able to relate to: "Soccer Moms."
The story starts when a mother vs. son soccer match starts and all the women share their similar stories about life.
But when the end nears and the score is nearly tied, the audience will ask themselves, "Do they let the kids win?"

The Icarus Falling Theatre Ensemble will be performing "Think/Thank/Thunk" at 8 p.m. from May 7 through May 15 at the Creole Gallery, 1218 Turner St., in Lansing.
The piece is in the likes of "Seinfeld" - a simple interchange among friends.

Lastly, four graduating master of fine arts theater students will be performing in one-person shows at 7 p.m. on May 4 and 7 p.m. on May 5 in Arena Theater, located in the basement of the Auditorium.
Christiane Morel, Rachel Roberts, Monica Clark-Robinson and Andrew Towler will perform a half-hour skit from various playwrights, and the show lasts roughly an hour each night.
The event is free to the public and is a perfect way to sit and relax during a break from studying.
