The No. 1-seeded MSU women's water polo team placed first in the 2004 Big Ten Championships in East Lansing on Sunday, marking the fifth consecutive year the team has won the title.
MSU hosted the three-day tournament at IM Sports-West for the first time since 1999. With the weekend win, the team now holds a 17-2 club record and has clinched a spot in the National Collegiate Club Championship for the fifth consecutive year. The 12-team tournament begins April 30 and will be held at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
