A 19-year-old female student told police a man attempted to break into her Armstrong Hall room on Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman was sitting in the room when the man began to cut the screen to her window. She ran from the room and notified the night receptionist on duty.McGlothian-Taylor said the woman and the man were acquaintances.Police have a suspect and are continuing to investigate.• A 19-year-old woman with no university affiliation told police her 1995 Plymouth Neon was damaged between Saturday and Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The windshield had been cracked, and it appeared someone had kicked or stepped on it. The car was parked near the Alumni Memorial Chapel on Auditorium Road.Damage is estimated at $250, and police have no suspects.• A female employee, 19, reported damage to a university-owned vehicle on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The rear window had been broken with a small object, and damage is estimated at $300.Police have no suspects.
