To Erica Drozdowski, the self-proclaimed "anti-feminist" ("Educating students on sex noble cause" SN 2/26):
Let me ask you a few questions. Do you believe in women's rights? Do you believe you should be able to vote, own property and choose your own spouse? Do you believe in equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender?
The fact that you are here at a four-year university pursuing a degree in international relations, and not in some cabin deep in the woods toiling over a butter churn, speaks to the fact that you adhere to at least some feminist ideals.
What you are no doubt reacting to in your proclamations of "anti-feminism" are the actions of radicals and extremists. You may not agree with them, but this does not make you an anti-feminist. To say that is like claiming you are anti-Christian just because you don't agree with radical conservatives.
Perhaps you should look up the word "feminism" in the dictionary before lumping the "anti-" prefix onto it and wearing it on your sleeve.
