MSU's Michigan Political Leadership Program has named 24 new fellows from a variety of fields across the state of Michigan.

The leadership program is an organization through the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research in MSU's College of Social Sciences.

Each winner was awarded a $12,000 fellowship that will last 10 months.

The program aims at helping the fellows sharpen their skills and knowledge in public policy, decision-making, leadership and campaign management through a series of lectures, seminars and hands-on experience.

Fund-raising events for the leadership program are scheduled for March. James Carville and Tucker Carlson from CNN's "Crossfire" will be guest speakers at two dinners in Livonia and Grand Rapids. Tickets for the event are $125 ($100 is tax deductible).
