Jackson stoops low, bares breast

Adam Vinatieri pulled off another Super Bowl victory for the New England Patriots in the final seconds of the game; however, the image that remains etched in the minds of the billions of Super Bowl viewers (including children!) is that of the sparkling sun conveniently placed over Janet Jackson's nipple.

Justin Timberlake sang that he'd have Jackson naked by the end of the song and, with that, pulled out her breast. I was shocked when clothing companies came out with thongs for 6-year-olds. I was shocked when spaghetti straps were long gone - replaced by tube tops among middle-school girls. But I am even more shocked and appalled that, for one of the biggest television events in the world, CBS and the producers of the half-time show would allow Janet to perform such a sick stunt. What kind of role models are we providing for our future leaders?

I heard a radio announcer this morning arguing, "It's just a boob!" No, it is not just a boob; it is perpetuating the sick and twisted standard that it is OK for our youth to be subjected to this kind of promiscuity during the Super Bowl.

I am disappointed in CBS, I am disappointed in Timberlake (who is attempting to claim that it was a costume malfunction), but most of all I am disappointed in Jackson, for providing such a poor example for young women. It's not just a boob.
