Police briefs 01/15/04

A 20-year-old male student told police he had been shot in the chest with a pellet gun Tuesday night while sitting in his West Akers Hall room, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The shooter, a 19-year-old male student, later told police he was "having fun and didn't mean to scare anyone."The victim suffered a 1-inch welt on his chest and refused to seek medical treatment, McGlothian-Taylor said. He told police he did not want to press charges and the subject was released.
