Faith can never prove creationism

The infantile nonlogic of letters, such as Steve Duane's, ("Creationism a belief, can't be disproved" SN 12/4) is unimaginably taxing on my confidence in this university's student body.

Faith is worthless in any argument. The problem with "beliefs," as Mr. Duane uses the word, is that believing in something doesn't make it any more or less valid. Faith is the direct and polar opposite of logic and reason. Faith is nothing more than a simple admission that what you believe in or are arguing for has no logical support for it. Faith is the opposite of rational thought in that it does not validate that which it is applied to.

Your faith in God and Jesus is no more valid than my faith in leprechauns and space aliens. If you are going to assert that evolution is incorrect and that creationism is correct, then you may at no point use faith to justify your claims, because to do so is to admit defeat. Because all religions invariably rely on faith at some point (that's one of the things that separates them from science), the moment you bring up creationism you have already proven it wrong.

Before you prove that your God made the earth in seven days, you have to prove your God existed.
