Benavides, Bernero take primary

Lansing - In two lively gatherings, Mayor Tony Benavides and State Sen. Virg Bernero celebrated their victories in Tuesday's Lansing mayoral primary race.

Benavides came out on top, gathering 6,668 of the total 12,182 votes. Bernero followed with 4,506.

Now, it's up to Lansing citizens to decide who is best to run the city -
