A 55-year-old woman reported the theft of equipment from a construction trailer at Bogue Street and Service Road on Monday afternoon, MSU police Sgt. Randy Holton said.The total loss of equipment is valued at $3,500 and includes a $1,500 hand compactor, a $1,600 laser aligner, a $100 grinder and a $300 tripod, Holton said. The lock to the shed was found broken at the trailer. Police have no suspects.• A 43-year-old female university employee reported the theft of seven 100-pound metal sheets outside of the Kresge Art Museum on Monday afternoon, Holton said.The sheets are valued at $140 each, Holton said. The sheets were out on an open metal shelf. There are no suspects.• A 32-year-old female student reported on Monday afternoon the fraud of a computer she purchased off the Internet, Holton said.The woman said she sent the seller the money, but she did not receive the computer. The computer is valued at $578, Holton said. Police are investigating.
