A 20-year-old East Lansing man reported being robbed by a man with a small black handgun on the 500 block of Village Drive on Monday evening, East Lansing police Capt. Juli Liebler said.The man approached the East Lansing resident on foot and demanded his wallet, then fled in a Pontiac Grand Am with a license plate beginning with the letters WVG, Liebler said. Police are investigating.• A 56-year-old male university employee reported the theft of a computer tower from a desk in the Physical Plant on Monday afternoon, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The value of the computer is unknown, McGlothian-Taylor said. The case is under investigation.• A 22-year-old female student accidentally stuck her hand through a pane of glass in a door at Endocrine Research Center on Monday afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said.The students suffered a two-inch laceration across her palm and was treated at Olin Health Center, McGlothian-Taylor said. She did not receive stitches. The damage to the door is valued at $50.• A 49-year-old male university employee reported the theft of a Toshiba laptop from his desk in the Engineering Building on Monday afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said.The laptop is valued at $1,800, McGlothian-Taylor said. The employee said he left the laptop unattended for a couple of minutes and returned to find it gone. The case is under investigation.
