A 20-year-old male reported being assaulted by a 15-year-old male on a soccer field near Spartan Village Apartments Sunday night, MSU police Sgt. Florene said.The 15-year-old male had been insulting his girlfriend when the 20-year-old stepped in to tell him to stop, McGlothian-Taylor said. They began pushing each other and a fight ensued and the 20-year-old's brother stepped in to help, McGlothian-Taylor said.Both sides involved in the confrontation decided not to press charges.· A 26-year-old female university employee reported an accidental fire in Giltner Hall on Monday afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said.The employee dropped ethanol near an open flame causing a small container of ethanol to ignite, along with her T-shirt, gloves and work chair, McGlothian-Taylor said.The East Lansing Fire Department treated the employee for minor burns.· A 18-year-old male student reported audio equipment stolen from his car Monday in Lot 83 at Service Road and Harrison Avenue, McGlothian-Taylor said.The CD player, 10 CDs and a Walkman were stolen from the student's brown 1990 Plymouth station wagon. Loss was estimated at $430, McGlothian-Taylor said. Joseph Montes
