A 20-year-old female student reported Thursday that her backpack was stolen from a locker on the second floor of North Kedzie Hall, MSU Police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The backpack and items in it are valued at $577, including a $400 Louis Vuitton handbag.

· A 24-year-old female student reported on Thursday her 1999 black Chevrolet Cavalier was broken into while parked in Lot 89 near Farm Lane and Mount Hope Road, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The rear driver's side window had been broken and a purse, 12 CDs, car stereo and a portable CD player were stolen. The damage is estimated at $150 and the items are valued at $420.

· A 26-year-old female university employee reported Thursday that her $10 clutch purse was stolen from her office on the first floor of North Kedzie Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.
