The School of Hospitality Business plans to host an etiquette dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Room Big Ten C in the Kellogg Center.
The event is part of Professor Mike Sciarini's professional development class, where students are required to organize an etiquette dinner. The students had to create the dinner without a budget or any other resources and had to create the menu and invite a speaker to the dinner.
Etiquette expert Pattie McNiel will speak at the dinner and is currently Distance Learning Program Coordinator with the National Food Safety and Toxicology Center at MSU.
Hospitality business Professor Jeffrey Beck said there were two goals for the etiquette dinner: for students to learn planning and management, and to provide each attendee with a great experience.
Tickets are $20 and must be purchased by Thursday.
