The sentencing of a former city of Lansing employee for embezzlement has hit a snag after her lawyer argued against the amount of money his client will have to pay in an audit, Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III said.Toni Glasscoe might have embezzled more than $76,000 from the city during a trash bag program, but prosecutors say she should pay $122,000 in restitution, which includes $46,000 it cost to audit the books.But Steven Freeman, Glasscoe's lawyer, said his client shouldn't have to pay for the private audit.The charge is a 10-year felony. A 19-year-old male student reported a stolen CD player and $5 in coins Tuesday from Rather Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student said his roommate sometimes leaves the room unlocked. The value of the loss is $45 and police have no suspects. A 20-year-old female student reported a dent in her 1998 Plymouth station wagon between Monday and Tuesday. The car was parked near Rather Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.The dent was made with an unknown blunt object in the rear corner window trim on the driver's side. The damage is estimated at $200 and police have no suspects.
