The men's soccer team replenished its roster by signing six recruits, head coach Joe Baum announced Wednesday.
Baum inked two goalkeepers, a midfielder, a defender and two athletes who can play midfield or defense next year. The group will replace the six departing seniors from an MSU team that went 12-7 last season.
"We are excited about our 2003 recruiting class," Baum said in a released statement. "We feel we have a fine group of student-athletes who will be able to help us both offensively and defensively in the future.
"We feel this 2003 class will be one of our best in recent years."
Defender/midfielders Ryan Dick and Greg Janicki, goaltender Jason Tillman and midfielder Matt Kreikemeier earned all-state honors last season.
Defender John Folino of Okemos was a First-Team All-Capital Circuit honoree, and goalkeeper Chris Austin set a school record for shutouts at Livonia Franklin High.
Five of MSU's recruits are from the state of Michigan, while Kreikemeier hails from St. Louis.
