A cashier working at Owen Hall reported a Rice Krispies Treat stolen Wednesday from the hall, MSU police Sgt. McGlothian-Taylor said.The cashier counted the treats prior to the suspect, a 38-year-old female student, arriving in the room. The suspect was seen taking the treat on video and when she was questioned, she said she put it back. Owen Hall officials won't prosecute the suspect and the loss is valued at $1.99. A 22-year-old woman with no university affiliation told police $700 had been taken from her bank account through checks cashed at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman had ordered checks from a different bank and when they hadn't arrived after 20 days, she stopped payment, but only after two had been passed at MSUFCU, 523 E. Grand River Ave. Police have a suspect. A 20-year-old female student reported her radio antenna stolen Wednesday from a 2000 Ford Focus parked in the Kellogg Center parking ramp, McGlothian-Taylor said. Police have no suspects. Two female students reported two wallets and money were stolen between Monday and Wednesday in East Wilson Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.Both women said they locked their door but the door that connects their room to their neighbor's room is usually unlocked. The total value of the loss is $455.Police have no suspects.
