Winner of six Oscars, including best picture, "Chicago" was the big winner at Sunday's 75th annual Academy Awards.
The major awards were spread across several films, including Nicole Kidman winning an Oscar for actress in a leading role for her performance in "The Hours," and Adrien Brody taking the prize for actor in a leading role. He stared in "The Pianist"
Two Michigan natives also scooped up awards in Los Angeles. Rapper Eminem won an Oscar for his song "Lose Yourself" from the film "8 Mile." Michael Moore's documentary, "Bowling for Columbine," also took home honors.
In his acceptance speech Moore criticized President Bush and the war in Iraq.
"We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elect a fictitious president," Moore said. "We live in a time where we have a man who's sending us to war for fictitious reasons, whether it's the fiction of duct tape or the fiction of orange alerts."
Applause from the audience gave way to some boos, and the orchestra began playing to cue the filmmaker to leave the stage.
