Today's additions to store shelves are in the realm of oddities, with a few exceptions. Here's what to expect:
Hall & Oates: "Do It for Love" - just in time for the Hallmark holidays, the album will be the timeless duo's 25th release featuring new material.
John Mayer: "Any Given Thursday Live" - a two-disc effort; if you like Counting Crows or Dave Matthews Band, you might like this CD. Recorded live at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama, on Sept. 12, 2002.
Massive Attack: "100th Window" - brooding orchestral work benefiting from collaborations with artists such as Sinead O'Connor and Horace Andy.
Ozzy Osbourne: "Essential Ozzy Osbourne" (Limited Edition) (Original Recording Remastered) - the title of this album should say it all.
Rodney Carrington: "Nut Sack" - this CD contains Carrington's expletive stand-up comedy.
Rush: "The Spirit of Radio: 1974 -1987" (Limited Edition w/ Bonus DVD) - contains 16 of the band's greatest hits; bonus DVD includes videos of popular songs.
Supergrass: "Life on Other Planets" - The band's fourth album attempts to revitalize British rock.
Various Arists: "We're A Happy Family" - this tribute to the Ramones should satisfy any punk fan.
Vince Gill: "Next Big Thing" - 17 tracks of mainstream, yet traditional country music.
Yanni: "Ethnicity" - it's not the latest John Tesh album, but it's pretty close. 12 tracks of contemporary rhythmic world music with classical accents have the new age realm drooling.
