Anti-discrimination clause goes to council

February 19, 2003

The proposal to add a footnote about gender identity to MSU's Anti-Discrimination Policy has been moved on to the Academic Council - the final step before it reaches the MSU Board of Trustees, who will ultimately decide if it will become policy.

"This is something that is really important and deserves as much discussion as we can get it," said Jon Sticklen, engineering professor and member of the committee who developed the report.

The Academic Council is scheduled to meet at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the board room of the Administration Building.
