MSU President M. Peter McPherson spoke out today against a sexually-charged flier found on the first floor of Shaw Hall during the weekend of Jan. 10.
The flier, which mimics a Black Caucus poster, was written partially in German and invited students to attend an MSU "White Caucus" event, using executive board members from Shaw's Black Caucus as contacts.
"I found the flier to be reprehensible, cruel and degrading," McPherson said. "While these people may have their first amendments rights of free speech, I think it is inconsistent with the responsibilities that we have along with those rights."
A police report was filed Monday.
