Group to plant flowers for hall beautification

At 10 a.m. on Saturday, the Briggs Ambassadors, a group of students who promote the Lyman Briggs School, are helping to beautify Holmes Hall.

Students in the Lyman Briggs School and residents of Holmes Hall also are coming out to help.

The group will plant 1,200 flower bulbs around the hall.

The money to buy the bulbs was funded through a grant from the Michigan Campus Compact and from Holmes Hall.

“Anybody can come out,” said Emily Bridson, adviser for the Briggs Ambassadors.

“There are 1,200 bulbs, and we need all the help we can get.”

Bridson says the purpose of the event is to promote environmental activism and to give back to Holmes Hall.

Refreshments will be provided.
