A 23-year-old male student reported his backpack stolen Monday from the first floor of the Main Library. There are no suspects, MSU police Sgt. Matt Merony said.The bag, including its contents, is valued at $335.• A fire started after food was left unattended Sunday in the 1400-section of Spartan Village Apartments.The resident left food cooking on the stove and fell asleep causing the fire to start, Merony said.• An 18-year-old male student reported his bike stolen from a bike rack outside of Armstrong Hall on Monday, Merony said.The bike is valued at $420.• An accident occurred at West Circle Drive and Kalamazoo Street on Monday when a bicyclist ran into a car.There were no injuries, Merony said.• A university employee reported a fire extinguisher removed from the first floor of a Cherry Lane apartment on Monday and discharged at a neighboring unit, Merony said.• A university employee reported a circuit-breaker panel’s lock was pried open in Campbell Hall on Sunday.
