As an MSU student and a big football fan, I am tired of our football teams success always pending on whether we beat the University of Michigan.
When preseason rankings came out in August, all of us Spartan faithful saw our team picked to be in the Big Ten race and a possible dark horse for the National Championship.
Who were we kidding?
Isnt this the same football team that beat Michigan a year ago before reeling off three straight losses to sub-.500 opponents?
Isnt this the team that put up seven points on explosive Eastern Michigan University this season in the first quarter?
Discipline and integrity are two elements that are needed to win a championship.
Our team never will have those until a coaching change occurs.
If football head coach Bobby Williams stays at the helm, there is only one thing we as Spartan fans can do: Hope for excellence, expect mediocrity.
