The MSU women’s basketball program will hold it’s annual 5K Community Run/Walk at the River Trail on Saturday.

The walk begins at 7:30 a.m. at the corner of Clippert and Kalamazoo streets.

Members of End Violent Encounters (EVE), a community service organization providing assistance to victims of domestic violence, and the Fastbreak Booster Club will be working to manage the event.

All interested participants can call (517)353-9158, or register on-site at 7:00 a.m.

The registration fee is $5. All proceeds from the walk go to EVE.

After the walk, the MSU women’s basketball team will give away prizes to participants at its tailgate for the MSU vs. Rice game from 10 a.m. to noon at Berkowitz Basketball Complex.
