Singer to perform

Jessie Young, lead singer of East Lansing’s Pushing 33 will perform from 12-1 p.m. today in the Union’s main lounge. He will be playing an acoustic set of Pushing 33 songs, along with some of his own material.

The event is free and open to the public.

The band has been together for four years, and was named one of 2001’s top 10 bands in Michigan by The Impact (88.9 FM).

Pushing 33’s manager Eric Denby said Young enjoys playing in front of MSU students.

“He really enjoys the noon-time performances,” he said. “It’s not only an intimate setting, but it gives anyone of any age, a chance to enjoy the experience.”
