• Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council: Greater Lansing Adopt-a-River, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, under the Shiawassee Street bridge near the Lansing City Market in Lansing. Join hundreds of volunteers for this Earth Day river cleanup. Food, gloves, garbage bags and maps will be provided, along with fun activities after the cleanup. Come and help support Phi Sigma Pi’s annual Teeter-Totter-a-Thon, which benefits the Lansing Area Respite Center, an organization that provides care for children with disabilities.
