For an inspiring and enjoyable evening of music, visit the fourth annual MSU Music Therapy Recital at 4 p.m. today at the Music Building Auditorium.
The event will celebrate and feature music abilities of patients of MSUs music therapy clinic, including children and adults diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, mental impairments, physical impairments and autism, among others.
The recital provides opportunities for children and adults with special needs to shine and to be proud, said Cindy Edgerton. Edgerton is music therapist-board certified and is the primary therapist for the Community Music Schools Music Therapy Clinical Services.
The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to benefit the music therapy program.
The American Music Therapy Association for Students at MSU will host a potluck dinner immediately following the recital, which is also free and open to the public, in 103 Music Practice Building.
