I am writing in regard to the actions of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
I find it disgusting that this nondiscriminatory organization would be so blatantly offensive toward a group of fellow human beings.
The fraternitys president stated that he and his group did not want to harm anyone.
Well, I would hope that anyone with an adult IQ level would be able to recognize that wearing openly hateful shirts in a diverse public place is bound to insult many people.
The leader also said he is going to hold a sincere educational meeting and is willing to work with anyone else who wants to learn along with them.
Well, I just hope that he and his fellow members are not the ones who will be doing the educating.
I could see it now, a flood of people pouring out of their house wearing an assortment of shirts branded with a wide assortment of racial and sexual slurs.
If this groups way of being open-minded and diverse is through public insult, then I hope the rest of the MSU community doesnt follow suit.
On a final note, I find it very humorous that an organization consisting of grown men who share the same house, refer to each other as brother and spank each other with paddles for initiation are so closed-minded to alternative sexual orientations.
Its something to think about.
