I’m writing in regard to the article “Sparty blue again after second attack,” (SN, 3/26). They can paint the outside of Sparty, but will never pierce the spirit inside.
Do the ignorant vandals think it’s funny? Well, I guess that’s what happens when someone has an inferiority complex.
To even write a response to what low-class people would do is disturbing, but I think some drastic measures regarding Sparty patrol need to be taken.
Even though a fantastic arrest was made by MSU police involving the incident Monday, more needs to be done to prevent incidents such as this from occurring at all in the future.
How about security cameras constantly fixated on the statue with relentless surveillance made by MSU police?
At the very least, it is time for the area to be more heavily patrolled, because this insanity has to stop.
Even though the acts are ill-advised, and really quite hollow, we can in a sense be proud.
They think if they can’t beat us on the field, they might as well try something else. At least this time they didn’t mix the paint together because we all know what color that makes.
It’s just time to step up and put a stop to this in any way possible because enough is enough.
