Police briefs 03/27/02

A female student reported her cell phone stolen from Kedzie Hall, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said. The student said she put her phone, worth more than $260, in her coat pocket on the back of a chair. She said she never left her coat unattended. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported her window broken in Butterfield Hall, Brown said. The frame on the window was broken by an unknown object, causing $50 in damage. Police have no suspects.• A male employee reported a window broken in a plant science greenhouse, Brown said. An unknown object was used to break the window, causing $50 in damage. Police have no suspects.• A female employee reported an unknown person entered her office, Brown said. The person stole 20 pieces of candy from a jar on her desk and opened an unlocked file cabinet. The candy is valued at $5. Nothing was taken from the file cabinet. Police have no suspects.
