Police briefs 03/22/02

A male student reported a teleconverter camera lens stolen from the Engineering Research Complex, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left the teleconverter, worth $250, unattended. When he returned it was gone. Police have no suspects.• A male student working night reception in West Akers Hall reported a window damaged, McGlothian-Taylor said. Two males were wrestling on the hall steps and one was pushed into the glass, breaking it. Damage is estimated at $100.• A female student reported a window broken in her Rather Hall room, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she heard somebody pounding on the window and later heard it shatter, causing $100 in damage. The blinds were drawn so she did not see the perpetrator.
