Police briefs 03/20/02

A male student reported his camera lens stolen from the Engineering Research Complex, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left the lens, attached to a camera, in an open area of the building. The lens, worth $500, was disconnected from the rest of the camera and taken. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported the contents of her bag stolen from IM Sports-West, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left her bag along a wall by the indoor pool while she played water polo. When she returned, the contents of her bag, including earrings, a towel, key chain and bus pass, were gone. Losses are valued at $160. Police have no suspects.• A male student reported clothing stolen from an IM Sports-Circle locker, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student put his clothing - including a T-shirt, shoes and pants - in a locked locker. When he returned, the articles, valued at $50, were gone, along with the lock. There were no signs of forced entry. Police have no suspects.Shannon Murphy
