Police briefs 03/15/02

A female student reported damage to her vehicle Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student’s 1992 Pontiac was parked in Lot 83 on Service Road. A rock was thrown through a rear window causing $400 in damage. Police have no suspects.• A male student reported his cell phone stolen from his vehicle, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student’s 1989 Buick was parked in front of Abbot Hall with the windows down and the doors unlocked. When he returned to his car the phone, worth $230, was gone. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported her backpack stolen from the Main Library, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left her backpack with its contents, valued at more than $60, unattended in the restroom. When she returned the backpack was gone. Police have no suspects.• A male student reported his briefcase stolen from an office in Eppley Center, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left the briefcase, valued at $20, unattended while he went to another floor. When he returned it was gone. Police have no suspects.
