Senior diver Carly Weiden took first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in MSU’s win in the Miami (Ohio) Invitational on Sunday. MSU won the meet with 1,406.50 points.
Tuesday she was honored by being named Big Ten Diver of the Week.
Weiden was also named Co-Big Ten Diver of the Year last spring. She has finished first or second in the 1-meter and 3-meter events in each of MSU’s five dual meets this season.
“She does it so often you almost take it for granted,” MSU head coach Jim Lutz said. “She is so talented and consistent that her performances are almost a given.”
