Police briefs 11/29/01

A 29-year-old female student saw a man peering into her bathroom while she changed Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The woman was preparing to shower in her University Village apartment between 10 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. when she saw the man. He ran away after she sighted him. Police have no suspects.• A tampon dispenser in Erikson Hall was damaged between Nov. 21 and Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The machine’s lock was punched out, causing about $50 in damage. About $6 in quarters were taken. Police have no suspects.• A Spartan Village apartment was broken into between Nov. 17 and Nov. 18, McGlothian-Taylor said. About $120, a checkbook and a driver’s license were taken from the 21-year-old male student’s apartment. The student said the apartment was locked when he left about 11 p.m. Nov. 17, but a window was broken out when he returned about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18. Police have no suspects.• A wallet was taken from a Wonders Hall room, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 19-year-old female student allowed a male she did not know to use her phone, and realized later the wallet was missing. It contained $200 and the wallet was valued at $30. Police have no suspects.
