Police briefs 10/29/01

• More than $900 in items were taken from a vehicle parked in the Kellogg Center Parking Ramp on Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Keith McDaniel said. A window was broken, allowing electronic equipment, clothing and other items to be taken from the male nonstudent’s vehicle. Police have no suspects.• A male student received minor injuries after being assaulted near South Case Hall, McDaniel said. An unknown person, who police believe was a visitor to campus, assaulted the student during an argument. The student refused medical treatment. Police are investigating, McDaniel said. lA female student has been receiving threatening phone calls, McDaniel said. At least three calls have been made to the student’s Spartan Village apartment since Oct. 19. Police believe the caller may be a female nonstudent. Police are continuing the investigation.• Two gym bags were taken from IM Sports-West on Friday, McDaniel said. The bags, which belonged to two male students, were valued at $900. The bags were together when they were taken. Police have no suspects.
