A 20-year-old male MSU student was transported to Lansings Sparrow Hospital after running into the side of a car early Sunday, East Lansing police reported. The male student, who had been drinking, attempted to run across Albert Street about 1:45 a.m. The 20-year-old driver, a female MSU student who had not been drinking, said she could not stop in time to avoid the accident. She had no injuries, but the male student was treated for lacerations and a concussion.l A male nonstudent was apprehended after trying to steal a golf cart, MSU police Sgt. Keith McDaniel said. The man was trying to take the cart from Spartan Stadium around 1 a.m. Sunday. There was no damage. Police are continuing the investigation.l A male student was assaulted outside Holmes Hall Sunday, McDaniel said. The student was walking home along a trail behind the residence hall when an unknown male began making loud noises. The student asked what was wrong and the male punched his face. The student was treated for a small cut and released. Police are continuing the investigation.l A piece of cleaning equipment valued at $1,000 was taken from the basement of Abbot Hall, McDaniel said. The equipment, a floor burnisher, was taken Tuesday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. There are no signs of forced entry. Police are continuing the investigation.l A male student who does not live on campus was caught peeking into residence hall rooms Friday, McDaniel said. The student was looking into ground floor rooms of female Akers Hall residents. The incident has been forwarded to the prosecutors office.
