A $600 bicycle was taken from a bike rack outside of Bailey Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The bike, which belonged to an 18-year-old male student, was taken between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The bike was locked using a chain lock, which was left near the rack. Police are investigating.l A 20-year-old female student was squirted with an unknown substance while in her Rather Hall room, McGlothian-Taylor said. A male student she recognized but did not know ran past her room and squirted her with a liquid she thought was water at about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, she said. Students down the hall mentioned they had been squirted as well, but were not sure it was water. Police are investigating and forwarding the case to the prosecutor’s office.l A 20-year-old female student reported she had been sexually assaulted about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The female student said she was intoxicated when a male acquaintance began touching her inappropriately while the two were in her Bailey Hall room. She said she remembers resisting and asking the male student to stop, who ignored her and had sexual intercourse with her. Afterward, he invited her to his room, but she declined and went to sleep. The female student’s friend also said she was sexually assaulted that night by the male student’s friend. Police are continuing both investigations.
