l Computers and computer equipment valued at $20,000 were stolen from the Physical Plant offices Friday, MSU Sgt. Keith McDaniel said.McDaniel said police are not releasing any information or evidence about suspects in the case, but an investigation will continue.l A 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo received approximately $7,000 in damages Friday after the car’s engine caught fire in Lot 39 near the International Center.Flames shot at least seven feet high and took about seven minutes to extinguish, said Capt. Pat Nakfoor of the East Lansing Fire Department.“The alarm went off while I was going to the building but I didn’t think anything was going to happen,” said mechanical engineering senior William Martin, the car’s owner. “I came back and they told me it was burnt up.”l A farm research plot north of Sandhill Road was damaged by a vehicle between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.McDaniel said about $500 of damage was caused by the unidentified vehicle, and the driving appeared to be intentional. Police have no suspects.l A 45-year-old man biking near MSU’s Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education suffered a shoulder injury after colliding with another biker.The man, who was camping in the area, was treated for the injury at Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital, McDaniel said.
