Police briefs 07/25/01

A light fixture was stolen between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Monday from Dobie Towers on Dobie Road in Meridian Township. The fixture was on the south leg of the 150-foot tower, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.It is valued at $40 and there are no suspects.

  • A 16-year-old female visitor from Farmington Hills reported her purse stolen between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday from Breslin Student Events Center’s main gym, Willis said. The visitor set her purse down on the bleachers behind the home team bench. After practicing, she noticed it was gone. The purse and its contents are valued at $250. There are no suspects.
  • Between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday, a 44-year-old female Physical Plant employee discovered a two-way-radio was stolen from a Bessey Hall break room, Willis said. The radio is valued at $1,000 and police have no suspects.
