Police briefs 06/27/01

A Spartan Village resident reported her residence was broken into Monday. The 23-year-old female said someone forced open the apartment door and stole a laptop computer valued at $1,000.Damage to the door is estimated at $300. Police have a suspect and the theft is under investigation.

  • A 27-year-old male visitor to campus, whose car was parked at the Forest Akers West Golf Course, reported a larceny from his vehicle Monday.The door lock was punched in, with damage to the truck estimated at $300. Stereo equipment, valued at $7,100, was stolen, including speakers, amplifiers, a CD player and a case of 400 CDs.Police have no suspects.
