Police briefs 06/18/01

A 15-year-old male visitor to MSU reported his cell phone stolen, police said.The theft occurred between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday at IM Sports-West when the person was swimming at the outdoor pool, MSU police Sgt. Scott Beckner said. Police have no suspects.

  • A 20-year-old male student reported his car broken into and stereo equipment stolen.The theft occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday at Lot 83, also known as F-Lot, on Service Road.Losses included a set of MTX speakers, valued at $275, and a Pioneer amplifier, valued at $200. Entry was gained by throwing an unidentified object through the driver’s window. Damages from the entry are estimated at $100. Police have no suspects.
