Police briefs 06/13/01

A 20-year-old male student reported his dorm room, on the third floor of South Case Hall, was entered by an unknown person or people between Sunday and Monday, police said.MSU police Detective Tony Willis said the student reported his room was locked and the lights were turned off when he left. When he returned the next day he noticed his door unlocked and the lights on. Nothing was reported missing. There were two similar complaints in the same building.There are no suspects. An investigation is pending.

  • A 20-year-old male student reported his car was broken into Monday. He was parked in Lot 63, located on the south side of Breslin Student Events Center. When the student returned to his vehicle before 11:30 p.m., he noticed his car stereo system missing.The system included two amplifiers, speakers and a CD player. The student locked his doors but left the windows rolled down. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $50 and losses are valued at $1,000.There are no suspects or witnesses.
