During the snowstorms of finals week in December, what was the universitys statement on snow removal?
Has an article ever covered this issue? It is understandable that finals week would be a difficult time to cancel a class because of timing issues, but why wasnt more effort put on the clearing of the snow? The Main Library and Administration Building werent cleared all week. Handicap access ramps were piled with snow and many people walked in the streets.
Is this the kind of thing we should just expect? It doesnt show much respect for the handicapped or any student in general. I always assumed snow removal was budgeted for somewhere and Ill bet (but cant confirm) President M. Peter McPhersons place was cleared. It would be hard to believe someone didnt jump all over this issue at the time.
