Smoke-free zones should be adopted

I am writing to support Ingham County’s efforts to provide its citizens with smoke-free work sites, restaurants and bars.

Every worker deserves clean indoor air. If people choose to smoke that is their right. However, it is not their right to expose children and others to the hazardous chemicals of secondhand smoke. I and my family, as patrons of a restaurant, deserve clean indoor air as well.

Passing legislation to regulate clean indoor air is a needed worker health protection that would improve the lives of every citizen.

I strongly support the Ingham County commissioners who are dedicated to making the community a healthier one.
