To all graduate students: As you are all aware now, the certification for the Graduate Employees Union has resulted in a positive vote.

I realize there are many graduate students who have worked passionately on both sides of this issue. I applaud both groups for their hard work and dedication during the past few months.

I would now like to call on every graduate student to unite once again, regardless of past differences and convictions. We have faced a divisive issue and while we may still feel passionately, future animosity based on the past is counterproductive.

As president of the Council of Graduate Students, I am optimistic that we can move forward toward making the graduate experience here at MSU the best for all graduate students.
